【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedforproductdevelopmentanddesign,productionvalidation,manufacturingprocesscontrol,lotacceptance,orforacombinationthereof.Therateofinflationinthismethoddoesnotattempttomimicthatofanactualcushiondeployment,norisitintendedtosubjectthecushiontothedynamicloads,stress,andtemperaturesduringsuchanevent.Itisalsorecognizedthatthecompressedairusedforthistestsmaynotleakthroughthecushionatthesamerateasthegasormixtureofgassestypicallyusedincushioninflators.Ratherthismethodisintendedtogivearelativeindicationofthepressureholdingabilityofthecushion.Theinternalvolumeandinternaldesignofcushionsvariesgreatly.Thistestmethodismostusefulwhencomparingdatafromcushionsofthesamedesignandvolume.Thistestmethoddoesnotprovideanydataconcerningthevolumeofgasleakingfromthebag.Atcertainhigherlevelsoftheinitialinternalpressure,thistestmethodwillirreversiblydamagethecushionandchangeitsleakagepropertiesforfuturetestingorforcommercialuse.Thedamagetothebagisdependentonthedesignorshapeofaspecificbagandthetypeofcoatingapplied.Itistheresponsibilityofthesupplierand/orpurchasertodetermineiftheparametersunderwhichacushionistestedwillbedestructiveandrenderthecushionunfitforfutureuseWithinthelimitsofvarianceexpressedinSection12,thistestmethodisusefulfordesignandproductionvalidationandmaybesuitableforincorporationinacushionspecificationorforlotacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments.1.1Thistestmethodisintendedtodeterminetheabilityofaninflatablerestraintcushiontoretainairpressureatelevatedpressuresforaspecifiedtimeinterval.1.2Proceduresandapparatusotherthanthosestatedinthistestmethodmaybeusedbyagreementofpurchaserandsupplier,providedthespecificdeviationsfromthestandardacknowledgedinthereport.1.3Theresultsofthistestmethodshouldnotbeusedtopredicttheactualinternalpressuredecayofacushionduringadeployment.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
