【摘要】:Alcoholethoxylatesandalkylphenolethoxylatesareimportantsurfactantsinhouseholdandindustrialcleaners.Theymaybeusedaseithernonionicsurfactantsorsulfatedandusedasanionicsurfactants.Carefulcontroloftheethoxylatecharacteristicsisdesiredasvariationsmayresultineitherdesirableorundesirableend-useproperties.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthevarioustestmethodsusedtoevaluatethosepropertiespertinenttothecharacterizationofalcoholethoxylatesandalkylphenolethoxylateswithrespecttosuitabilityfordesireduses.1.2Theproceduresforsamplingandanalysisappearinthefollowingorder:1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.MaterialSafetyDataSheetsareavailableforreagentsandmaterials.Reviewthemforhazardspriortousage.SpecifichazardstatementsappearinSection5andNote1andNote3.26.1Thismethoddescribesaprocedureforthedeterminationofpolyethyleneglycolsinethoxylateddetergentrangealcoholsthathaveratiosofethoxygroupstoalkylgroupsofthreeormore.
