MIL-HDBK-1461A, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE HANDBOOK: AMMUNITION MANUFACTURERS AND THEIR SYMBOLS (1 APR 1999). This handbook establishes and describes the manufacturer's identification symbol used in the lot numbers for all DOD contracted manufacture, renovation, or regrouping of ammunition and ammunition components. The usage of manufacturer's identification symbols is defined and described in MIL-STD-1168, Ammunition Lot Numbering.
